There is a very good paper in "Polymer Rheology and Processing" Edited by Collyer and Utracki, published by Elsevier Science Publishers Ltd. (ISBN 1-85166-557-9). The paper is 'Computer Aided Design of Single-Screw Extruders' by K Amellal, P G Lafleur and B Arpin. It includes an extensive reference section, which details all the available models (more than 20 of them). Regards, Peter P IP: Logged |

This link is for a report presenting a recent (1992-93) review of materials process modelling technologies from the manufacturing engineer’s perspective, performed for the British Science and Engineering Research Council. It's not directly related to plastics, but may be helpful. http://www.yandela.net/homepages/philip.sargent/mmp/materials-process-modelling.html This link might be helpfull also: http://www.cheng.cam.ac.uk/groups/paste/paste.html Modelling Techniques II looks at Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). These are used for modelling parameters that depend on more than one independent variable or dimension, such as temperature variations in a solid block, or fluid flow. http://staff.bath.ac.uk/ensdnj/mt2/ This link should prove very usefull http://citeseer.nj.nec.com/lopesdacunha99modelling.html You could also do a search at www.knovel.com they have all the papers presented at SPE's ANTECs for the last five years- But you have to buy a subscription to view them. Good luck with your studies Steve H [This message has been edited by Steve H (edited 08-17-2002).] IP: Logged |
