Which would be an appropiate screw to avoid high temperatures using a soft PVC resin from Teknor Apex part # 02-U0223A-69NT

Fernando,

The most suitable screw design depends on the rheological and thermal properties of your material. An inappropriate design can lead to excessive shear heating, which, of course, can be highly detrimental to your PVC, which is highly sensitive to temperature. To be sure that your screw design is satisfactory you need to undertake a screw design analysis based on one of the screw design packages available on the market. This will tell you whether or not excessive heat is being generated.
