Hi. I'm a student at Boston University and I am doing research on the extrusion process. I was wondering if anyone had time to explain a little bit about the process and answer my questions. Please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated and the committment would be no more than a 10-15 minute phone conversation. Thank you. IP: Logged |

For a start I would read a book. You could start with Chris Rauwendaal's book "Polymer Extrusion", details of which you will find on his website at www.rauwendaal.com. There are many more examples and your University library should carry copies of them. Regards, Peter P [This message has been edited by Peter P (edited 10-27-2002).] IP: Logged |

Hi Leila Chris's book is very good, what extrusion process are you mainly interested in? All of the raw materials manufacturers web sites have processing info. I found this UK web site to have some useful info http://www.tangram.co.uk/Page_Index.html This link is for an online text that may help you http://online.sfsu.edu/~jge/html/body_textbook.html This link may also assist with the preparation of your report http://www.balasainet.com/members/pcbolur/extrusion1.html If you want to prepare some questions and post them here, I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction to find the required information. Good luck Steve Hodgson IP: Logged |
