I am looking for a particular purge material to clean our exruders and screws. The material is called tyclean. It is a chipped, hardened material when it enters the extruders and after it is mixed and heated through the extruder it strips the screw and barrel of any unwanted residue and burnt poly material. When it is exiting the extruder it has the same shape as the barrel and it is like a hardened cloth material and turns to dust when crumbled up. When it is all exited from the extruders you can actually slide the screw out of the machine effortlessly and inspect it. Both the Barrell and the screw come out with no residue whatsoever. You can actually look into the barrel of the machine and see a mirror finish. We extrude polyurethane tubing here. I was told that this item comes from Europe but I was not given a company name. We are currently importing this from Japan and the company that supplies this in Japan is going out of business. Again the product name is tyclean. Any help you can provide would be great. I've spoke with a lot of purging companies and no one has ever heard of this. We had a company's sales rep come down to trial their product and it gummed up our machines to the point that we couldn't remove the screw. We ran the tyclean right behind it and it removed the gummed rapidpurge and everything else that was in their and the screw popped out like it had never been used. The rep left and said sorry we can't fit your application and he said he had never heard of it either. Any help you could give would be great. My fingers are crossed. Thanks for your time.
