I am an Operations Manager for a small manufacturing company that produces office seats made from the recycled plastic. I would like to receive an advice as for the type/size of the extruder we need to process our plastic (PP/PE blend with talc filler). Could you please point me out in the right direction? What goes into the extruder, and what do you expect out of the extruder, and how fast? Tom C IP: Logged |

PP and PE mixes are sensitive to ratios used. Add recyclate into the equaation and sure, you'll get a "melted" mass of a composite of both but look out for long term failures if ever your PE exceeds 10% as Phase Seperation occurs. Off setting with a filler sucha as talc may exaberate the Phase Seperation. Liability Insurance is recommended. IP: Logged |
