Hello,
I'm looking for a new vendor to supply us with our rupture plugs. the vendor we currenty use cannot supply what i need at a resonable cost and lead time. 10,000. psig (rating.) 1/2 20 pitch and around 6" in lenght. Please if any one has any input that would be great.

Try FLUKE or DYNISCO. Don't forget to change them out annually, as they do "case harden" when under constant heat and your pressure blow-out value increases. The actual segment is made of sintered metal.

I really think you ought to select a 8,000 PSIG rather than 10,000 PSIG as most barrel's can split at 10,000 PSIG. Hense, the safety feature of a blow off valve at 8,000 PSIG.

The real problem though is that it appears that everyone seem's to forget the "case hardening" factor, and do not place this on their annual change-outs - fooling themselves into believing that all is "SAFE".
