Hello, do you know where I could find an efficient practical forrmula which could provide extruder capacity as function of rotating speed, extruder diameter and polymer type ? I am not looking for a perfect result, only for a rough extimation of extruder capacity (+/- 10%). IP: Logged |

Screw design would have to come into it, back pressure generated by die/adaptors/screen pack etc Dual spiral systems have a neat little program that you could try http://www.dualspiralsystems.com/ Steve ------------------ If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you. IP: Logged |

Steve H: I can only thank you immensly for the DUALSPIRAL lead to simulation software! I've visited their facility, and can only state that it was the best, most organized, multicultural facility I ever visited. They are a great Company! IP: Logged |

LC, I agree that the Dualspiral sofware is useful for what you want. You could also have a look at our website Extruder Output. I have compared the results from Dualspiral with ours and the agreement is quite good. ------------------ IP: Logged |
