I just took a job at a Extrusion facility and the biggest problem in production are "blowouts". My last job was in injection molding and in extrusion I have no experience Anyone that can give me info on causes and remedies for this particular problem?

Ask if it is the "Rupture Disk" that is blowing out. A ruputre disk is a pressure relief diaphram that is designed to rupture if the extruder pressure is too high. There are other situations when the diaphram can rupture outside of high pressure problems. This can be discussed in detail when you find out more about your process.

I'm assuming by "blowouts" you mean holes in your profile or jacketing. Is this the case or do you have another interpretation for "blowouts?"

I'm with Thomas on this one. The term "blow-outs" is typically referring to contamination or bad forms. But a number of other issues can create blow-outs. I've also heard these referred to as "flats".
