Dear Forum Members,

To keep up with the advances in screw design and manufacture, I will kindly ask new findings in this industry. Would you please direct me for the related source of data.

In the meanwhile, as tungsten/nickel/boron/chromium/etc are the most common alloys for barrel and screw manufacture, what your experience prove that which material composition(alloy) has the optimum characteristics for cast film and blown film extrusion systems.

As well as, for the surface treatment, what would be the most favourable option for such a production environment.

PS:
The processes are basically large scale LDPE/LLDPE blown film extrusion and cast film PP tape extrusion.
