If you are looking to not fill up a landfill and get some extra money you have two choices. You can sell your PVC bleed-out to a buyer that will more than likely make garden hoses with it, or you can make a investment and install granulators at your machines that will grind up your bleed out. How the granulation process works is it grinds up the PVC bi-product into what we call re-grind, the re-grind is then collected (via vacuum) into a container to be later be mixed into your virgin product. You’re dealing with a clear product, so you might not be able to run a high percentage of re-grind. I run re-grind at 35%, but I am dealing with a black product as opposed to a clear. I would highly recommend looking into the granulation process, because of the money you would receive from recycling PVC would be approx. a penny a pound. ------------------ IP: Logged |
