I am running trials with Orevac 18360 as a tie layer. Unfortunately my cosmetics are poor. i have narrowed it down to the tie layer and am also guessing it has to do with screw speeds. Outer layer running 4 times faster than tie layer. Any advice greatly welcome.
Thank you

Mitch,

Cosmetic problems in co-extrusion typically are related to velocity and/or viscosity differences between the different polymer flows in the die. One polymer melt will stress the other as they merge causing flow patterns and optical distortion.

A company that I represent has a great deal of expereince using computer modeling to identify and resolve these issues. Please send an email if you are interested in more information.

What's the application Mitch? Blown film or blow moulding.
Exactly what sort of cosmetic problems are you getting?
