Hello Everybody, My job is in process instrumentation, however I am self-studying about screw design. I need information on how to calculate design parameters of a simple single screw for any material. Actually, What I need is a sample calculation that shows step by step how to reach the final deisng by having input data such as material, output capacity and application. I would really appreciate if you can send me one or guide me to where I can find it (a book or ...) Thanks in advance IP: Logged |

Alex-- I am redoing my web site, www.extrudetech.com to cover the basic topoics of solids conveying, melting, and metering as well as some general issues. I intend to continue this tact of presentation by continually adding material all pertinent to extruder screw design and process analysis.
