Flexible PVC compounder new to twin screw extrusion.
We purchased a TP 140 extruder. I have been sucssfullly compounding our product line we currently produce on 6" single screw extruder by using similar temperature profile.
Friday we discovered most of our pellets contain porosity! This occurs on product I know had clear vent holes and great vacuum ~ 29in.
Could someone please advise what I might change up to prevent this?
Extruder feeds into an underwater pelletizer.
My thoughts are I will need to change up my temperature profile.
