I am looking for a company that can provide an inline continuous
printing solution for the pvc extrusion process. I would like to hopefully get something that is non-contact and clean to operate, possibly laser or thermal. We have parts that may be ran right side up
or upside down. We would need to be able to print on the non-finished
side of the part for future part identification. The printer head must
> be able to toggle around the part depending on the need. Also, we do a
lot of black extrusions, so it must be able to print on a black part.
This system needs to work on both flexible and rigid pvc. Some parts
are small, so the font size would need to be controllable. For large
parts we would like the flexibility in the future to bar code the parts
as well.

There is a Company called TAMPA PRINT that may have the solution your looking for.

If and when you get around to bar-coding, you need to look at the type of laser reading heads used by your clients, as the resolution must react with the reader head. There are many resolutions out there, so be carefull and do an in-depth survey before investing.
