Has anyone out there tried to extrude blown film grade PVC through a spiral mandrel die, instead of the more typical spider die/cross head? Care to share your views/real life experiences on the subject?

You might want to post your question on plastics.com under the PVC forum. There is a Dr. Dick who will more than likely jump right in there to address the issues at hand.

Personally, I see no issues in a negative way. In fact, your product may even be stronger in both directions.

I'm Siding with Zeb on this one. I can see no down siode, though I have no personal experience with film/PVC. I'm basing it on a long history of processing PVC into other forms using lots of different tooling designs.
