Could someone please help me out here. I've come up with a new design for a plumbing type fitting. It's not going to change the World but it may make some things a little easier. Unfortunately I'm a plumber and don't have a geat deal (very little) knowledge in plastics. I'm at a stage where I need to get a price/s for manufacturing, but I'm not real sure what or who I'm trying to find. The product is a uPVC sewer, waste and vent type. It's a 100mm or 4" Tee fitting and I'd be AWFULLY apreciative if someone could tell me for sure what process is used to produce these and the mould type etc. Thanks in advance for any responses. Peter

Sounds to me like you'd want to use Injection Molding. Mold steel depends on how many zillion you want it to runAbove all else though, I'd highly suggest you reduce your possible invention to writing and then see an Attorney who specializes in Inventions. You might even find out that your idea is already out there in some form or another - hence he or she will do a Patent search first. Sorry to say that you'll have to spend the money first, and NOT REVEAL your idea to anyone. Once you do - it's not patentable - unless you have an agreement in writing first. Best wish's to you.
