Hi Everyone,

I bought a second hand extruder two stage, 120mm, for PVC extrusion. The previous owner ran the machine for 11 yrs. The technology is from FIAP ITALY. The equipment is worn out , so i have ordered a new set of screw and barrel. The gap between the screw and the barrel is 1.2mm each. I got the formulation of the previous owner tested and it has a fusion time of 4.2 mins whereas for the same formulation my fusion time is 2 mins. Does anyone have a clue on this. can you suggest the additives to delay fusion. This is UPVC. I am currently using Ac629, AC316a, G741, G322. Will using a higher K value resin help? I am currently using K-60, same as the previous owner.

Simply lower your temperature profile and screw RPM to delay fusion.
