What would be the best starting point in looking at changing from a LDPE to a blend of LLDPE plus LDPE say 50 to 60% LLDPE? Would a look at a screw change from our 30/1, 6" that has a maddock flute section on the end? The Ext. motor is a 500 hp. We use a magnum sheet die 66" opening width and 4mm gap on die lip. WE have 6 extruder zones at a temperature of 365,385,390,405,405,405 F. Die zones 420 F. RPM of motor in the range of 1800 to 2200.
