Hi, for production of HDPE t-shirt bags we mix a few % of LLDPE. Is this helpful to lessen the wearing of the screw and barrel, and what is the most appropriate % of mix to improve on film properties

Zarko,

Why do you think the additon of LLDPE reduces screw and barrel wear?

I have never heard about trying to reduce screw/barrel wear with LDPE. Personally, I don't buy it.

I have heard of people putting 5-10% of LDPE in with HMW-HDPE to help film properties, but I have no first-hand information on the optimum blend percentages.
