Dear sir,

Please let me know that weather it is possible to run 3-layer blown film plant without any chiller system for air ring.

Can i run machine without chilling the air, what maximum temperature on Air ring must be to run LDPE to produce shrink film.

if i am getting +25 degree on Air ring, it will be any problme or not? Die dia is 350mm, maximum processable width of film is 1500mm.

also, what shoud be maximum water temperature for circulation of water in feed throat of extruders?

Thanking you in advance

It is definately possible to run without chilled air. The consequence is that you will have to slow down the process because cooling won't be quite as fast.

I have seen feedthroat temperatures up to 80 degrees (27 deg C) with no problems on smooth-feed extruders. As long as you can prevent bridging you might be able to run even warmer, but this is resin- and process- dependent.
