I do not know about polyurethane single resins. But if it is two-component polyurethane you could try M/s Gusbi in Italy. Google should get you their web site.all the best.

Dear Mr. Malcolm,
I had been to that site u mentioned. Thanks for your lead. But they are into PU injection for Shoe Soles. My line is entirely different. I am into manufacture of a Electrical Insulation product. I need an extruder to coat Polyurethane varnish and Silicon Rubber Varnish on to Sleevings and also cure/vulcanise them online.
Bye

Sounds to me that you ought to look at co-extruding or cross-head extruding.

After re-reading you post's, I would suggest that after co-extruding the single component (assuming it is a termosettable PU) onto the fibergalss sleeves, you can "cure" in-line by first passing it through a eutectic salt bath, then passing it through a rinse bath, and then into a cooling bath.

I have done this with both with Natural rubber (NR) and Synthetic Rubber (IR) using a Rubber Extruder, with temperatures low enough to not kick off the catalysts incorporated into the mix's - both being of the polyisoprene family.

Tailsman23: I think it's your browser VS this Forums browser, as I often experiance this when I post to a subject and go back to see if it's "posted". CompuServe and AOL has this glitch specifically with this Forum.

In general, it does appear the day after, which makes it difficult to make any edit's or corrections. Very bothersome, as this does not occur on other Forums.

Thanks friends. Just now I found a trick to read all the messages posted on the site other than the normal ones which appear on my screen(3 only). I just came to post topic and vola all the messages were down below. lol.
Zeb, I also think it has something to do with cache memory and enabling cokies. The goddam computer refuses to believe that a new post is actually there inspite of refreshing it so many times over, leaving me to conclude that in the programming there is an overemphasis on cokies and cache memory written down here. That needs to be studied and corrected by some experts.
Ok-with respect to my problem on hand, zeb, I manufacture an electrical insulating product, meaning no moisture and water anywhere. Although u will suggest drying later after curing, I feel curing can take place over a longer length of tower. Actually it is co-extuding a flexible tube and the trick is, it must not collapse when it leaves the extuder. The sleeves are flattish and round in profile. The trick is to get them round and coat them with PU single component varnish. Two problems need to be tackled here, getting the sleeves round first and then coating and curing the PU within a certain length on the takeup side. The end product is mainly used in electrical industry for lead end insulation, wiring harnesses, coils, transformers, carbon brushes, motors etc,
Waiting for your feedback

tailsman23: Eutectic salt is solid at room temperature, and molten at elevated temperaatures. Many "levels" to choos e from. Very caustic stuff so you need a heated SS bath.

The molten eutectic salt will cure your part, then it goes through a conventional cooling bath. To keep your roundness, introduce air into the interior. Works quite well.
