I'm working on a seminar called "Pigments usage in extrusion coating" and I'm lack of information about the effects that pigments have?
Which are the most used pigments?
Do pigments cause any problems?

I would appreciate all kind of help or source materials!

You seem to be starting from very basic infomation for someone giving a seminar on the subjest of pigments in polymer resins.

Major groups: Organic and inorganic, dyes and pigments.

Most common: TIO2 for white, Carbon for black.

Effects: Color, opacity, lessening of physical properties, possible changes in flow characterisitcs, conductivity, UV stability, toxicity, and virtually any effect that one chemical can have on another.

A book could be writtten on the subject, and several have. Check the SPE, Hanser, and Amazon.
