We produce BCF yarn and are facing a new problem of late that has got us pulling our hair out. Any advise- suggestions will be helpful and are welcome. We are running the machine on this product BCF yarn since the last four years and the machine is pretty new- 4 years. All the parameters and controls are computer controlled. The problem is when we run virgin chips the filaments that are supposed to come down out of the die vertically, come out like the spokes of an open umbrella. The other dies that are running simultaneously, with chips from the same hopper but with colour added are running normally. All the parameters and temperatures have been checked and found ok. (6 heater zones). Result is that if we run the material with colour we do not have any problems, it is only when we run virgin chips that we face this problem. Has anyone come across a problem like this?
