Dear All, At the moment we wanted to extrude FEP with a wall thickness of 1mm. I we have a 30mm Extruder and 45 mm Extruder. Could anyone say which extruder is suitable for such huge wall thickness. If anyone had already extruded such high wall thickenss could you tell me the problems you encountered or the important points to remember during extrusion process. Thanks in advance.

Why do you think 1mm is a huge wall thickness? What thicknesses are you normally extruding? What kind of problems are you expecting? What are the rest of the dimensions? ------------------ Best Regards, Tom Cunningham www.ExtrusionTechnicalServices.com IP: Logged |

I should not think that you would any problems. Unless you are shooting for very high outputs, then you may need to play with tooling design, possibly a heated mandrell. IP: Logged |
