Need to know what polymer you wish to extrude
for "the food industry"!! The "food industry"
utilizes film, sheet, some profile, and parison (for blow molding)extrusion out of many materials. Many screw designs exist for the many process/polymer choices!!

Do you mean that you want to extrude food products like cereal based materials? If you do then twin screw machines would be best, because of the plug flow nature of these materials. Since no melting will be included then a gentle design of screw - with minimum shear - will be adequate.
