I'm looking specificaly for design information on the die to prevent or reduce die drool build up. I would think that a special die has to be used, one with a tapered set of holes inward, and a reverse taper on the outer hole.

Sure wish I can put this one to bed. The spit off causes all sorts of problems.

Ken,

An all time un-favorite problem. You need to address the material and/or process problem that is sourcing or causing a lot of low molecular weight components to be present at the exit of the die. I have some remedies that address symptoms, but in the material lives the cure. Email me direct with more information and I might be able to help.

Thanks Tom C., and I agree with you and will look into the materials used very closely.

Of course it is a proprietary allloy, so I can't divulge it with all due respect. I appreciate your offer though.
