Can anyone tell me why it called one screw extruder and two screw extruder? What the screw here means? Is there any picture to see? thx IP: Logged |

Bill, Lots of extruder sites on the web---do a Google search for Plastics Extrusion, and you'll find a bunch---many probably including pictures. Visualize a hopper sitting on top of one end of a long (Length=25-30x diam.) barrel. The barrel can contain one screw, or two screws inside the total length of the barrel.
