I have a big problem here at my plant of lines Blowing and backing off. When the line blows a mushroom forms between the die and the dry calibrator. Can anybody tell me how this is happening. I know when the KN's rise it can cause it but why all of a sudden those this occur. We aer in the business of Foam board extrusion and line blowing is resulting in a lot of down time which i really want to eliminate. Can anybody shed some light on this situatino for me please. Ken: I would look into the compounding first hand. Sounds to me like a poor dispersion issue. Also look at your feeding system very closely, as you need precision feeding. The line blowing may simply be an overdosing - or - concentration of your blowing agent. IP: Logged |
