I have heared that the wax can prevent the material in the cylindar from carbonizing when the extruder stop running exceeding 1 day. Is it ture?

If someone had used this method, please tell me how to work and the type of wax.
Thank you very much!!

Essentially, PE when totally degraded, and carbonizing gone, is a form of wax, but I never heard of this purge method. Wax is very soft, and has a very low melting point, so I believe your going the wrong way.

I'd suggest you shut down with a well stabilized PE - period. The method most use, just before shut down is to start bringing your heats DOWN, as it allows the PE to push out whatever is in there. Some will run the screw dry as well.
