i am getting cracks in tpo skin. i am wondering if anyone knows how they are made and what can be done to prevent them.

You might be expereinceing problems caused by excessive extentional stress. In other words; some materials resist being pulled apart at high speed and then fail in the process. One test of this issue would be to heat the material a little hotter, and form slower to see if the issue goes away. You may need to form very slowly in order to eliminate the effect.

An Engineering tool for these problems are available, known as T-SIM;
