I gotta admit, sometimes it really annoys me when people ask a question here and then forget about it.

That's why I don't respond to most questions, unless it's brand new (I'll give them a chance). If they take the time & effort to come back and post a follow-up, then they are obviously interested enough to get our opinion.

Some sites with forums are information sites, the user enters a question and then reads the answers. Others are small communities where people participate in open discussions. (Read thread drift)

Not sure where we fit in . . .

I agree with you Bob C.
It would be very fitting for follow up postings on the suggestions others offer. It leaves to the imagination of doing someone's homework for them, and never seeing their grade (success or failure). In general though, some do come back and even express their gratitudes.

I participate because I want to still learn and un-learn, as well as to share my experiances. I'm far from a mentor, but the knowledge one gains over the years may save others much time and trouble.

Have to agree with the comments- it would be nice if the folk we attempt to assist, would give us some feedback on their problem, and what finally cured it.

It would be great if they read through previous posts too.

The thing that really P's me off is the spam from Nigerian con artists, Viagra pushers and sites that promise to enlarge my wedding tackle.
There is a cure for this problem though, get Mail Washer and you can get rid of most of the crap.

Talking about Viagra... Grandson notices a Viagra tablet on the top of Grandads toilet and asks the old chap why its there....... Got sick of peeing on my carpet slippers, so I give the tab a lick first and my slippers stay dry

A recent health warning on Viagra. If you take iron tablets, you will automatically turn to the North.
