We are working on a project that requires the use of commingled regrind. I will be used as an agricultural fence post. Does anyone have any ideas on where we should start with items such as: additives (gypsum, talc, wood, etc.), and we are hoping to use a mix of PE, PVC, and up to 10% of mixed anything. Would it be possible with a nonvented extruder? The profile will be a thick hollow tube.

I suspect the only way to do that is to heat the plastics until they are soft, but without melting. A very short (specially-designed) extruder could do the trick - something with maybe 8:1 L/D (just a wild guess) and a fairly deep screw. More like a heated auger than an extruder.
