We extrude hoses for the automotive industry. We are extruding multi cavities anywhere from 2-6 cavities. We extrude EPDM, ECO, and CPE for the most part. We have barrels and screws that are worn. When we put a new screw and barrel in we loose the pressure (push) in the center cavities. I just wanted to know why?
Another issue is that we do not know what screws are the best to process these materials with. We had a screw made for ECO and it works great, but for the other materials we are not sure even what we have or need.
