Can I inject a part made of Nylon with a general-purpose screw?

No, you need a screw with a higher compression ratio of 4:1.

Indeed, high compression screws are necessary due to the dramatic and sudden phase change from solid to melt associated with the hydrogen bonding present in nylon. GP screw typically result in air entrapment and consequently voids in the finished product...

Speaking of Nylon, I'm having considerable screw wear injecting Nylon with 40%fiberglass what screw materials should I be using?

Cpm-9V heat treated appears to be the
material of choice.
