Does anybody can help me with the special considerations for the screw & barrel to be use for PET? Thanks lopeznarciso@yahoo.com

PET melts at a fairly high temperature and therefore benefits from high compression designs (3:0 to 3.5:1). However, you will need to be careful with degradation which may or maynot be a significant concern based on your end product.

screw outside diameter must be larger than for standard thermoplastics.chrome plating will be advantageous.
