Can you essentially put a mold somehow where it sticks out past the platens to injection mold long rails. We are planning on purchasing a new machine but we want this machine to do a variety of parts but if we do 6 foot rails on a platen that is only 4 feet high is it possible without buying a much bigger machine. The parts can be extruded but the cost for them seem very high and we need a new injection molding machine anyway. I don't know if we can order platens that are that much bigger or if some sort of core pull wedge system can help close the ends.Eric IP: Logged |
