When trying to extrude Poly, in an extruder we normally use for Marlex, our psi will not build up. It bounces between 200 - 500 psi, motor load drops after a few minutes of running from 26 to 16. We pulled the screw after the first setup last week, and in the area of zone 3, the screw was the color of carbon paper. There was no blockage in the feed throat. We have had the same problem in the past, but had no problems in our last attempt, about a month ago. Any suggestions?
