You need to work up a full Definition of Requirements firsthand, and then ask what is needed.Example: Pipe Diameter, wall diameter, desired output range, monitoring and auxiliary equipment needed, color(s), and most important, the IV of your pipe compound. If you get no replys here, then I would suggest you also post your request with plastics.com and spe4.org

Contact an Extruder Manufacturer like Davis Standard, and they will tell you what you need exactly. This is to complex to explain in a forum, as you do indicate that you know nothing much about extrusion. How much money do you have for such an investment, and where will you put up that Plant? IP: Logged |

Without question, over 90% of the PVC pipe worldwide, small and large diameter, is made on twin screw extruders---which are lower shear and more dimensionally accurate than single screw extruders for shear sensitive rigid PVC. Quality twins--either parallel or conical- are made by Cincinnati Extrusion-Vienna,Cincinnati Milacron-Batavia OH,Krauss-Maffei-Munich,American Maplan-Mcpherson KA.(I wrote two booklets, "Rigid PVC Extrusion", and "Optimum Design and Operation of a PVC Extrusion Plant"---which are available at US$50 each, or US$90 for both.If interested, contact me at: 2beeps@silvercity-nm.com ) IP: Logged |
