Hallo guys

What do you think about Plastics Industries in India and their technology.. In 2010 India will be third largest producer of Plastic raw materials the experts says?? Why?

At present India is the second largest producer of Polyester.. So It will be in the Polyolefins also.

What do you think.. I think we can not ignore the one seventh of the world population easily.

What is your openion guys???

I don't really know a lot about international trade, but I see a big differnce between the way China and India approach the market. The people and companies from India that I speak with never seem the have the capital to execute their plans, while China seems to have the investment capital available to do what they want. Perhaps it is a difference in government support of business?

I see India as the second largest population, who traditionally wants everything for nothing, and will rip off patents whenever they care too.

China is the leading nation in population and it has only recently started to heavily enforce compliance with international Patent laws - due to their now being amember of the WTO.

India suffers immensily from their CAST system, while China is now practicing Capitalism freely.

I see both as having population problems, but India is worse than China.

I would be very hesitant to send any ideas or new plastics technology to India VS China.

China encourages their citizens to study abroad while making every effort in inviting them back, while in India, I see that who ever leaves - rarely returns to help their Country.
They may go back to "visit" but are glad to leave again.

Hai zabielski

Thanx for your reply.. But I think you see the problem in the wrong way. I think mostly the americans and UK companies (not other Europen companies)suck the Indians blood. For example Microsoft,Dupont, Pepsi Coke.. etc.

Took all inteligent people showing the money and finally kick them. Most of the American companies are proud to have Indians in their company because they can work well. But finally kick them.

Why it is like this?? See America is not happy to know some other cuntries is growing in the region. They try to help the enemies of the growing countries by giving arms and make the growing countries also to buy the arms then they can not spend their money in the devlopment activities.

I think still they are growing. People from the out side sees India has weekness because of the population. I think it is their stregth.

Still no american companies are ready to give AIDS drugs to poor Aferican people at low price. The Indian companies are giving at very low price.

It has very old and long culture for giving lot of things to the world not to take I think ??

Have you ever visited India?? Please do it you will know .

Best Regards

Hello T. K. Palanisami:
My reply was with respect to the Plastics Technology sector period (which you aksed about). I am not attempting to get into a diatribe on how America, the English or others have taken advantage of the peoples of Greater India in the past and/or present.

You aksed for views, and I replied, thats all.

As far as humanitarianism goes, as well as the excellent medical training India has, I think those who come here are a bit of the best, and that is why I have a Doctor from India.

In general, I have mostly found the majority of India's people very humane, caring, and sharing. However - like other people, there are a few who always seem to be taken advantage of. It is with regret that you feel that you are one of them.

I would highly suggest that you read up on the begining of America, and how every Nationality was treated when they first arrived. There is this thing called a "pecking order", and all have gone through it.

Relative to me ever being in or visiting India, the answer is no. I would go only if I had a reason to go. Relative to India ripping off others in ideas and technology, it is that very reason why many won't go. There simply is no judicial "fair" system there I am told.

With India and China together, they represent about 40% of the worlds population. China, as I have indicated, is finally recognized by the WTO, and must now practice and enforce Patent protection. They are much more Capitalistic as well, although their government is still Communistic.

So, T. K., why do you feel the way you do. Business is business - regardless of the industry - weather it be Plastics, Medicines and Pharmeceuticals, or Munitions.

You came, you asked, I gave, and now you are slanting this inquiry into something else.

There is no malice attempted with my reply, and if I have somehow offended you, I sincerly apologize.
