Did anyone go to Antec?

What did you think?

Did you come away with any new technology or ideas?

I thought there were more people and vendors than I expected. The vendors were more positive than they expected. Perhaps this is a sign the economy is about to rebound.

Some of the more interesting papers for me:

Floresence technique for measuring melt temperature.

Twin screw melting study of a PP / PS mixture.

Melt separationg extruder from Germany.

Optimization of molding using genetic algorithms.

Been a member of SPE since 1996 and I've yet to make it to an ANTEC - But I like the fact that SPE have made copies of the papers presented at the ANTECs from 1998 on, available for members to download ( free ) http://www.4plasticsresearch.org/
