After socialized medicine is implemented in the US, somewhere some company will decide that it will more profitable to drop insurance coverage for its employees and let everyone else pick up the tab. That company's competitors will then feel the need to drop coverage to remain competitive. After that; the whole house of cards falls apart, and socialized medicine will become the largest part of the national federal budget (debt). The employees of those companies will then be funding the medical systems by paying increased taxes, rather than the more affluent consumers of the product made and offered. Unless, of course, the government further enhances it "tax the rich" policies.Somehow this is supposed to help those who have no medical insurance (not that many people by some counts) by destroying the current highly effective medical system. To my understanding there are already government programs and policies to take care of those people. I don't see a good outcome to this. ------------------ Best Regards, Tom Cunningham www.ExtrusionTechnicalServices.com IP: Logged |
