I am looking for information re screw design suitable to foam LDPE for 30mm dia extruder.Information on blowing agents prefer CO2 or Nitrogen over Butane, etc.
Alternatively are their any master batch type blowing agents? Looking to develope smaller profiles and would appreciate any helpful info.

Is this a single extruder or a tandem line? Assuming it's a single extruder, screw design is complicated due to the competing physics of generating enough melting energy while attempting to cool the melt once developed. I've often design single extrusion foam screws w/ a mixing device prior to the blowing agent injection port followed by a multi-flighted pumping section designed to reduce melt temperature.
