Am new to this process. I have problems with motor drives overheating and tripping the drive on "OH". Motor FLA is 313A. Drawing approx. 290A. This is on a Sencorp machine with primary and secondary feedscrews. Six barrel zones on the primary (which is the one that overheats). Drive is a CT QuantumIII. SCR heatsink set to trip at 100 deg C. I am consistently above 80 deg C. Having to keep panel doors open. Whenever they are closed the temp goes above 100 deg. This causes shutdowns. Any suggestions?

AC or DC motor?

What is the motor RPMs relative to maximim?

What is the amp load relative to maximum?

Have you had a drive professional look it over?
