Introduction to Extrusion A Practical Two-Day Training Seminar
26th Year -- since 1979

Angola (Northeast Indiana), November 17-18

Atlanta, GA, December 9-10

Toronto, Ontario, January 6-7, 2005

February in California, March in Chicago, dates TBA

Erie, PA (Penn State University), April 14-15, 2005

This is my introductory two-day seminar, which I have presented to over 4000 people since 1979. It is a practical presentation, directed at understanding the process and materials at manufacturing level. In Angola and Erie, in addition to the classroom sessions, we will demonstrate extrusion fundamentals on a lab extruder and melt indexer. In all locations there will be time available after the sessions for private discussions.

The attendance fee is $US995, and includes lunches and all course materials. The fee is reduced to $US750 for additional registrants from the same company. Full-time academics may attend at 50% reduction ($US500) and full-time students are free, but pay for their own lunches and materials.

For further information, please visit my website, www.griffex.com, which has an outline of the seminar and registration information, as well as more information on private seminars, consulting services, and the latest edition (2004) of the Plastics Extrusion Operating Manual.

If you have questions or wish to register for the seminar, discuss a private session, or purchase manuals, please email algriff@griffex.com or call me at 301-654-1515.

Hello Alan! I have just joined the plastic industry and would like to learn more about the fundamentals of plastic extrusion. Our company is a PVC pipe manufacturer and I believe your expertise will be able to help me understand the essentials faster. Can I get a copy of the manual from the seminar your organized earlier? Or do you have other suggestions for me? There are so much to learn and I don't really know where to start.
Hope to hear from you soon, thanks!
