U.S. Plastics Processing Trade Mission to Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai
June 21-July 1, 2004

Join this all important processors trade mission to some of China's most influential plastics manufacturing areas. Learn firsthand about opportunities and competitive forces, while meeting with prospective business partners and touring various plastics plants. This educational tour will be held June 21-July 1, 2004 and is sponsored by The Society of the Plastics Industry's, Inc. (SPI) Global Business Council (GBC) and The U.S. Department of Commerce (U.S. DOC). SPI and the U.S. DOC have sponsored several highly successful trade missions for the U.S. plastics industry as recent as a Southeast Asian mold builder tour that has held in January of 2000.

By participating in SPI/DOC sponsored missions, attendees reduce the risks and expenditure of time and money by prescreening prospective business partners and setting up meetings with only the best contacts who meet the participating company's particular objectives. By letting SPI and the U.S. Commerce Department plan all logistics, including hotel, ground transportation and meeting arrangements, attendees will spend less time worrying about tedious travel details and more time learning about business opportunities and the market potential.

The SPI/DOC Plastics Processing Trade Mission will include customized market and industry briefings by government agencies and U.S.-based company representatives; meetings with key government officials and industry associations; "matchmaking" meetings with pre-screened Asian company counterparts that meet the requirements as set forth by each visiting U.S. company, tours of various plastics plants and plastics-related educational facilities and entry into ChinaPlas 2004. Attendees will be notified as updates are made to the schedule overview.
