The Ninth International PVC ConferenceBrighton 2005 26 – 28th April 2005 Brighton UK Organised by IOM Communications Ltd on behalf of The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining Scope Building on the success of PVC 96, 99 and 2002 the Organising Committee is seeking a full and varied programme of papers to capture how PVC continues to develop, meeting business and sustainability challenges and to inspire innovation across its vast range of applications. The successful format of previous conferences will be retained, with Day 1 setting the global scene from international experts in their topic. Papers are now invited for presentation at this three day conference which will have parallel sessions running in three venues on Days 2 and 3. Topics can be selected from the following list but we are also looking for alternative themes that could be relevant and stimulate thought and discussion. Strategy/ direction and markets Profiles (full day session) Pipes and fittings Plastisols and flexible areas Processing technology Heat stabilisation and lubrication Additives - property modifiers, fillers, flame retardants, pigments and plasticisers Sustainability Recovery and recycling VCM – production and polymerisation Call for papers To register your interest in presenting a paper please email the title and 200 word abstract as an attached word document to pvc2005@iom3.org by Friday 30th April 2004. Successful authors will be notified by Friday 1st October 2004. If you wish to attend the conference and receive further mailings on PVC 2005, please contact pvc2005@iom3.org. Exhibition An exhibition based on a shell scheme is again planned in the refreshment area close to the conference halls.
