Is there such a thing as a Polycarbonate / Polypropylene alloy, or would it be possible to create one? If so, what would be involved in the process? I'm really new to injection molding, so I'd appreciate any advice I can get. Thanks, Josh IP: Logged |

I have not heard of a PP/PC alloy. You would need a chemical compatibilizer to make it work. Not may polmers like to work with PP. Might be interesting. I have worked with the PC/Acrylic alloys that had interesting properties, however they had fair compatibility to start.Tom C

Do you know where a person could get such a compatibilizer? I would certainly like to try it out and see what we come up with. Thanks for the quick reply. As always, any suggestions/ideas/comments are more than welcome. Josh IP: Logged |
